More Information

We are a local history museum, exhibiting artifacts from the 1937 London school disaster that killed 294 students and teachers in a natural gas explosion and records of the early community and oilfield boom. We are located in New London, Texas on Highway 42, directly across the street from West Rusk High school (formerly known as the rebuilt London High school).

The cafe is open for lunch from 11-2 on weekdays only.

The soda fountain is open during museum hours. We serve fountain drinks and ice cream treats. We're proud to utilize our working 1930s soda fountain to mix soft drinks the old-fashioned way using syrup and carbonated water. We also make shakes and malts with Blue Bell ice cream.
